“The hosts, Craig and Blanche, were wonderful. They were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent. The rooms are beautifully fitted out and spacious
– they have kept the old school character (including old photos and books about the history of the school and area) but added the luxury and comfort. Enfield is a small rural settlement and there is a pub a 5 minute walk from the accommodation which serves very generous evening meals. Located about 15 minutes by car from Oamaru this is the perfect location for visiting the town and the region. we couldn’t recommend it more highly.”
“Beautifully converted old school with everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Owners, Craig and Blanche go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. There is a swimming pool and nice shady garden. Property is set in lovely countryside ideal for cycling and walking. There is a great tavern a short walk away which serves good food and has a nice buzz to it. Would definitely stay again.”
“We loved this B & B. Blanche and Craig could not have been kinder and were helpful and friendly. The building is interesting and the room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was really good and we were offered lots of tea/coffee, biscuits, cakes and a beer! The pub just down the road was very convenient for dinner and the food was very good pub food.”
“A fabulous experience with extremely accommodating staff (Craig and Blanche), really enjoyed our stay!”
“Fantastic place to stay, big and comfortable rooms, breakfast in an old classroom, or sit in front of the fire in another all feathering rimu panneling, the old school has lots of character as do the owners, pleasure to have spend time there.”
“This is really a special place. An old-school house renovated into luxury accommodation while maintaining charming school features. Craig and Blanche were great hosts, very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, bed (very) comfy and the place was spotless! I would definitely come back again. Thanks, Craig and Blanche!”
